Information on Centennial Preschool for the 2024-2025 school year is now available on the website here. Register anytime between March 1 and 11:59pm on March 22 to be included in the lottery. We will continue to accept registrations post-lottery for any remaining spots.

Early Childhood has been awarded a Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) grant to help pilot nature-based education efforts! Funded by the Minnesota Department of Health and administered by Anoka County, the SHIP grant will allow us to purchase equipment for outdoor learning, with an end goal of launching a nature preschool class in the fall of 2025. We look forward to incorporating these materials into both ECFE and preschool programs this spring and into next year.

We're delighted to announce that beginning February 6 Ms. Amanda will be hosting a new Drop-in and Play class on Mondays in addition to the current Friday session! Both classes are 9-10:30 am and do not require advance registration. The cost is $3/child or $5/family, payable at the door (credit preferred). Multi-visit punch cards are also available for your convenience.

Enter at the Early Childhood doors (door C, Rice Lake Elementary). There is a maximum of 12 families per session, so watch for the pink sign to indicate if that day's class is full.

We are thrilled that so many families have discovered the fun of Ms. Amanda's Drop-In & Play class on Friday mornings. Unfortunately, we are now routinely exceeding our capacity and must now institute an attendance maximum of 12 children. If we reach capacity, we will place a large pink sign in the window of the classroom door (to the right of the Early Childhood main doors) and send a message via Seesaw to families who have signed up for that service. If you pull into the parking lot and see the sign, please accept our apologies. We'll hope to see you next time!

We hope our new website is an effective resource for our families and staff to find the information they need most. Here are a few tips and highlights as you explore our new site:

  • Early Childhood and each school campus now have separate websites from the district! Navigate to each of the campus sites by clicking on the Schools dropdown menu in the top right corner.
  • Navigation is a little different than our previous site. Click on the three stacked lines in the upper right-hand corner to view the main navigation. This will be consistent whether you’re on a desktop or your mobile device so your navigation experience will be seamless.
  • Each school has its own Parent Hub, Student Hub and Staff Hub which are intended to be a one-stop-shop for all of your go-to needs. You can look for important updates and announcements from Early Childhood here, so be sure to bookmark the Hub page relevant to you!
