Early Childhood Announcements
With the help of an Statewide Health Improvement Partnership grant from Anoka County, ECFE was able to host a new Saturday morning class called Little Nature Explorers. While the weather was chilly, we still had tons of fun making mud soup, reading a story, and singing songs together! Another session to be held on May 11 is already full, but we look forward to the return of these classes next year.
Early Childhood has been awarded a Statewide Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) grant to help pilot nature-based education efforts! Funded by the Minnesota Department of Health and administered by Anoka County, the SHIP grant will allow us to purchase equipment for outdoor learning, with an end goal of launching a nature preschool class in the fall of 2025. We look forward to incorporating these materials into both ECFE and preschool programs this spring and into next year.
We're delighted to announce that beginning February 6 Ms. Amanda will be hosting a new Drop-in and Play class on Mondays in addition to the current Friday session! Both classes are 9-10:30 am and do not require advance registration. The cost is $3/child or $5/family, payable at the door (credit preferred). Multi-visit punch cards are also available for your convenience.
Enter at the Early Childhood doors (door C, Rice Lake Elementary). There is a maximum of 12 families per session, so watch for the pink sign to indicate if that day's class is full.
